Evening falls and the lights come on ready for the night’s entertainments. Mathew street, centralised in the picture, was the home of the Cavern Club (the ‘birthplace of the Beatle’s) and is one of the world’s most famous and visited streets. Cavern Walks, (David Backhouse 1982-4) is centre, with terracotta designs by Cynthia Lennon, who died in 2015.
