Celia John
The Childhood Home of Paul McCartney
20 Forthlin Road, Liverpool was the home of Paul and his family from the age of 13 until he was 22. Paul and John used to compose songs and practise in the living room of this house, and it is thought that more than 100 Beatles songs were composed here, including Love Me Do, I Saw Her Standing There and When I'm Sixty-Four.
The house has been in the ownership of the National Trust since 1995. The Trust markets the house as "the birthplace of the Beatles", since this is the place where the Beatles composed and rehearsed their earliest songs.
